Balmer Lawrie signs MoU with CGDA to develop air travel module

State-run travel and tour operator, Balmer Lawrie & Co has signed an MoU with the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) for the development and implementation of an air travel module in defence travel system.

Currently, the defence travel system provides the facility of booking railways tickets to armed forces personnel, but after the development of the air travel module, air tickets can also be booked on the defence travel system, the company said in a statement.

Balmer Lawrie & Co CMD Viren Sinha said this is the need of the hour, considering the efficiency and transparency every government department and corporate needs to practice in their various dealings.
