A baloon fitted with circuit boards was recovered today by police from a colony at Keezhakarai coastal village in the district.
Police suspect it might have snapped in stiff winds while in flight and then landed in Gokul Nagar Colony in the hamlet.
It was not immediately known from where and when the baloon originated, police said, adding an investigation is in progress to ascertain it.
