Ban extended on Pakistani SIM in Barmer

District administration has extended ban on the use of Pakistani SIM in the border areas in Barmer of Rajasthan, an official said today.

"Pakistani mobile phone network has a penetration of 3-4 km in Indian territory and the issue of signal spillover poses threat to the national security hence the use of Pakistani SIM is banned in the border areas by the district administration," he said.

District Collector Bhanu Prakash has extended the ban recently, he said, adding legal action against those who found assessing the Pakistani mobile network through the Pak SIM will be taken.
