Heat wave continued in Uttar Pradesh with mercury crossing 40 degrees Celsius in most of the districts today.
According to MeT office, the highest maximum temperature over the state was 43.8 degree Celsius, recorded at Banda, which was one degree above normal followed by Allabahad with 42.6 (+1).
The state capital Lucknow also experienced a high of 41.3 deg C.
The MeT officials have forecast dry weather over the state with maximum temperature of 42 degree C.
