Two Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested from a slum area here for not having valid documents, police said today.
According to a police spokesperson, a raid was conducted at the slums in the Mirzapur Road area following information about some illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who were said to be staying there without passports.
As the raid began, two persons tried to escape but were chased down by the policemen.
Upon failing to produce their passports as demanded by the policemen, the duo was taken into custody, the spokesman added.
