Bangladeshi national held with gold biscuits

The Border Security Force (BSF) today apprehended a Bangladeshi national with gold biscuits at Petrapole in North 24 Parganas in the the Indo-Bangla border.

Twenty one year-old Md Rashel Rana, a resident of Dhanokhola village in Bangladesh, was held along with three gold biscuits worth Rs 10.79 lakh, a BSF official said.

He was later handed over to the customs officials.

"During the operation, we observed suspicious movement of a Bangladeshi national near the Petrapole border. The operation party asked him to stop but the suspected person started to run away. However, after a chase, he was apprehended," said the BSF official.
