During interrogation, the man said that he had fled from his home some years ago, and illegally entered India, the statement claimed.
He came to Falwada in Meerut in 2006 after working in Kolkata, Muzaffarpur, Delhi and Ludhiana, the STF said.
"He married a girl, a local resident, and his in-laws helped him in get a local address proof, which was subsequently used by him to get a passport, PAN card and voter ID illegally," they said.
"On the basis of his passport, he brought the ID of his brother Masood Rana, and obtained a month-long visa to Bangladesh.
"He stayed in Bangladesh for a month with his family members. His wife works in a beauty parlour in Saudi Arabia, and is likely to come after some time. He has also confessed that he was planning to build a house," the STF said.
During this, some people in Falwada allegedly threatened him suspecting him to be a Bangladeshi. He was planning to move again but this did not materialise, they said.
