A young man robbed off a 56-year-old bank employee's mobile phone from her counter in broad daylight in south Delhi's posh Green Park locality.

Police has remained clueless in the case even after three days of the incident even though the youth, who seems to be in his early 20's, can easily be identified in the bank's CCTV footage.

The incident took place on Tuesday at 1:53 PM in Syndicate Bank's Green Park branch. Anju Gupta, who is a clerk at the bank, was feeling a little unwell. As there were no customers at her counter at that time, she put her head down to take some rest. When she raised her head after around two minutes her phone was gone.

"On checking the CCTV footage of the bank, a youth, clad in a green-colour shirt is seen stealing the phone. Even after picking the phone, he wanders around in the bank for a while before fleeing," said Gupta.

The CCTV footage also reveals how the youth randomly walks in the bank and walks out with the phone without raising an eyebrow. The armed guard positioned at the entrance remains oblivious about the incident.

Gupta has registered an FIR in this regard at Safdarjung Police Station and also handed over the CCTV footage of the incident.

"We have submitted the snapshots of the CCTV footage to the police in which the robbers is clearly seen. We have not heard anything from the police so far," said Aditi, the victim's daughter.

Efforts were made to get a reaction from senior officials of South district but nobody answered calls.
