Bank manager arrested for accepting bribe

A bank manager was arrested by the anti-corruption cell of the CBI for allegedly accepting bribe, officials said here.

Dinesh Kumar Gupta, manager of Allahabad UP Gramin Bank Kanchar branch, was nabbed by the CBI while accepting Rs 7,000 as bribe from Munna Lal Pandey yesterday, they said.

Pandey had earlier lodged a complaint with the CBI alleging that Gupta was demanding bribe to release a loan amount of Rs 1.25 lakh, sources said.
