Bank manager held for accepting Rs 35K bribe

A manager with the Sinnar Vyapari Sahakari Bank was today arrested for allegedly accepting Rs 35,000 as bribe, an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) official said.

The accused Sanjay Revagade had demanded the bribe from the complainant to issue a no-objection certificate required to sale his agriculture land, the official said in a statement issued by the ACB.

Following a complaint, a trap was laid and Revagade was apprehended while accepting the bribe at the bank's Sinnar branch, he said, adding a probe was underway.
