Bank manager's house raided in Jodhpur, assets recovered

The raid came following the arrest of the manager with State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, Rajesh Panwar, who was caught red-handed at his house yesterday taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

"We found Rs 8.25 lakh cash kept in different places, 800 grams of gold jewellery, 11 kg of silver jewellery, EPF investment worth Rs 11 lakh and shares and bonds worth Rs 25 lakh," ACB DIG S K Narjari said.

Investment had also been made by the accused on immovable assets which include three houses in Jodhpur, he said.

Panwar was produced in the court today which sent him in judicial custody till 24 September.
