Bank officials arrested on corruption charges in Muzaffarnagar

Three of a private bank's staff were arrested for allegedly accepting bribe from a villager, police said today.

A case was registered against Cashier Sanjay, Field Officer AL Aggarwal and Bank Manager MC Sharma on the basis of a complaint of Chater Singh, resident of Jatmujhera village.

Singh alleged that the officials have asked for bribe in return for facilitating a loan.

But despite accepting the bribe, they were not sanctioning the loan, he alleged.

The police has registered a case and an investigation is on.
