BankBazaar to ramp up hiring in FY18; to hire 400

Financial marketplace BankBazaar today said it plans to ramp up its recruitment process in financial year 2018 and will increase workforce by 400 to strengthen business growth.

The company will be hiring across technology, product, and operational roles with more focus on product development and supply chain of financial products.

Presently, BankBazaar's employee strength stands at 1050, which is expected to grow by around 30-40 per cent by the end of December 2017.

BankBazaar will reach out to the enterprises that have been recently involved in downsizing exercise or have stopped business operations to seek right set of talent that will fit the requirement pertaining to operations and technology integration.

Sapient India launches women employee returnee program * Sapient India, today launched their flagship Women Employee Returnee Program, that will enable those who have taken a hiatus to return to the work-force, giving them flexibility and opportunity to recreate their niche in the professional world.

The program "Spring" aims at creating a diversity balance within the organisation by offering a springboard to working women to re-start their career in technology.

To propel the program further, Sapient has partnered with JobsForHer, an online job search portal in India for recruitment of women on a career break, to reach out to the larger pool of women professionals.

Ford Foundation appoints Pradeep Nair as regional director * The Ford Foundation today said it has appointed Pradeep Nair as the regional director for its office serving India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

As the regional director, Nair will guide the foundation's operations in the national capital, serving three countries with a staff of more than 30, the Foundation said in a statement.

"His (Nair) global experience and leadership, and expertise in building partnerships in the region will be a great asset," said Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation.

South Asia is a region of extraordinary growth and opportunity, Nair said.

He will assume his new position at the end of March. He succeeds David Hulse, who since November 2015 has served as interim director.
