Demanding pay revision and raise up to 23 to 25 per cent, bankers affiliated to United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) in Rajasthan will go on a one-day nationwide strike tomorrow.
About 30,000 employees of 4,500 bank branches of the state affilated to UFBU, would not work tomorrow to press their demand to give them pay revision and raise up to 23 to 25 per cent, Mahesh Mishra, its convener said in a statement here.
The one-day strike would paralyse cheque clearance to the amount of one thousand million rupees, and 6,700 ATMs would be affected, Mishra claimed.

On November 5, UFBU and Chief Labour Commissioner agreed on pay revision and hike by 23 per cent and yesterday a bilateral talks with with the management was called in Delhi, but the talks failed as the management was adamant on its old hike of pay only by 11 per cent, Mishra said.
