Three persons
were arrested after banned cough syrup was seized from them from a place in Jalpaiguri district close to India-Bhutan border, police said on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Sashastra Seema Bal and district police stopped a car at Guyabari in Jaigaon police station area and seized the contraband on Tuesday night.
A total of 320 bottles of the cough syrup which is used as an intoxicant was found in the car, police said.
