Director Ali Abbas Zafar has roped in disco king Bappi Lahiri for a cabaret song in his upcoming Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor starrer "Gunday".

The number will introduced film's leading lady Priyanka Chopra in the film. With music by Sohail Sen, the film bring Yash Raj Films and Lahiri together for the first time.

"For months we were trying to come up with this Cabaret song, but a good melody was eluding us," Sen said.

"It is meant to be Priyanka Chopra's introduction song in the film, it had to be special."

Lahiri's number combines jazz with brass and drums, something that was hugely popular in the '80s when Lahiri ruled the music.

Neha Bhasin, who had earlier sung Dhunki from YRF's "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" was roped in to be Priyanka's voice for this song.

Lahiri will be the voice of Ranveer and Arjun.

"I'm very excited to be a part of this, I have worked with Sohail's father Sameer many years ago and now I'm working with his talented son. This song is a guaranteed crowd puller, especially in Kolkata," Lahiri said. The singer's 'Oh la la' track from Vidya Balan starrer "The Dirty Picture" was a huge hit.

"Gunday", produced by Aditya Chopra, is slated to release on Valentine's Day, 14th February 2014.
