The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association has decided to observe a one day strike in all the courts across Jammu region to protest against the separatist leaders who hoisted Pakistani flags in Srinagar.
"We have decided to suspend work in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu and all other subordinate courts tomorrow and observe a one day strike to protest against the happenings in Srinagar," Abhinav Sharma president of the Bar Association Jammu told PTI.
He said the association strongly condemns the "anti- national" activities that took place, including hoisting of Pakistani flags and raising of anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans, during a rally in Srinagar yesterday organised to welcome the return of senior separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani to Srinagar from New Delhi.
"We condemn the hoisting of Pakistani flag, raising of pro-Pakistani and anti-India slogans in Srinagar by the separatist leaders," he said.
