Odisha Legislative Assembly deputy Speaker Sananda Marandi and local MP Laxman Tudu flagged off the train in presence of other dignitaries.
"This new DEMU train would fulfil a long standing demand of the people of Baripada, Bangriposi and adjoining areas," said R K Kulshrestha, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur.
