Barley prices drifted by Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale grains market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries against adequate stocks position.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said sluggish demand from consuming industries against adequate supplies from producing belts mainly kept pressure on barley prices.
In the capital, barley prices were down by Rs 50 to Rs 1,400-1,405 per quintal.
