Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section to Kolkata and Baroda were up by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight availability of trucks against pick-up in cargo movements.
Elsewhere, freight rates of other centres remained unchanged on some enquiries for trucks.
Transporters said apart from increased cargo movements, tight position of trucks, mainly pushed up Baroda and Kolkata freight rates.
Delhi to Kolkata and Baroda rates were up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 33,000 and Rs 27,000, respectively.
