Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for a few destinations rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following thin availability of trucks.
Transporters said tight position of trucks mainly pushed up Baroda and Ludhiana freights.
Delhi to Baroda freights improved by Rs 1,000 at Rs 23,000, while Ludhiana rates moved up by Rs 500 at Rs 17,000.
Elsewhere, other destinations freight rates managed overnight levels on some support.
