Base metal advances on good demand

The industrial metals trading lower at the LME following cautiousness over China's warning against relaxing curbs on the property sector amidst concerns over global economic slow-down.

Nickel and tin climbed by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,080 and Rs 1,290 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,075 and Rs 1,285.

Copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 470 from Rs 466 and Copper scrap heavy edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 479 from Rs 477 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and lead all looked up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 486, Rs 445, Rs 514 Rs 318, Rs 328 and Rs 122, respectively.

 

However, zinc softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 133.
