Most of the base metals declined at non-ferrous metal market here on stockist selling amidst lower demand from industrial users.
Globally, London copper slipped towards a two-week low in early morning trade at the LME after China increased copper imports in August but not enough to impact a swelling global surplus.
Tin dropped by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 1,155 from Monday's close of Rs 1,162 and zinc fell by Rs 6 per kg to Rs 148 from Rs 154.
Nickel slipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 810 from overnight close of Rs 815.
Copper utensils scrap and copper sheet cutting moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 382 and Rs 400 as against Rs 384 and Rs 402 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 416, Rs 411, Rs 444, Rs 301 and Rs 309 respectively.
