Base metals dropped on subdued demand

Base metals prices dropped at the non-ferrous market here today due to stockists selling amid subdued demand from industrial users.

Nickle prices fell by Rs 30 per kg to Rs 700 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 730.

Copper utensils scrap declined by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 342 from Rs 346.

Brass utensils scrap eased by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 271 as against Rs 274 previously.

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass sheet cutting and zinc moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 377, Rs 365, Rs 405, Rs 361, Rs 280 and Rs 164 compared to Rs 379, Rs 367, Rs 407, Rs 363, Rs 282 and Rs 166 yesterday.
 

Copper scrap heavy, aluminium ingots and lead prices softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 372, Rs 139 and Rs 134, respectively.
