Base metals drops on reduced demand

Most of the base metals including copper, select brass, lead, tin and nickel dropped further at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.

Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, tin and nickel fell by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 383, Rs 345, Rs 411, Rs 1,315 and Rs 715 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 386, Rs 348, Rs 414, Rs 1,318 and Rs 718, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cutting eased by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 378 and Rs 363 as against Rs 380 and Rs 365.
 

Copper armature, brass sheet cutting and lead edged by a Re per kg each to Rs 370 and Rs 286.

However, brass utensils scrap inched-up by Rs 279 from Rs 278.
