Base metals ends mixed

The industrial metals moved up at the LME, though the gains were capped by worries about the global economy and caution ahead of next week's holiday in metals consumer China.

Nickel spurted by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,090 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,085.

Copper scrap heavy and brass utensils scrap gained by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 477 and Rs 323 from Rs 475 and 321.

Copper cable scrap and copra wire bar both inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 488 and Rs 516.

However, Copper sheet cutting, aluminium ingots and aluminium utensils moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 462, Rs 145 and Rs 118 from Rs 464, Rs 147 and Rs 120 respectively.

 

Copper armiture and brass sheet cutting softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 466 and Rs 331.
