Base metals prices surges on sustained demand

Most of the base metals prices, including copper, brass, aluminium, tin and nickel prices rose at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists' buying amid sustained demand from industrial users.

Aluminium ingots shot up by Rs 13 per kg to Rs 175 from Monday's closing level of Rs 162.

Tin and Nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,450 and Rs 955 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,445 and Rs 950, respectively.

Aluminium utensils and copper sheet cutting climbed by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 128 and Rs 444 from Rs 124 and Rs 440, respectively.

Copper armiture advanced by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 447 from Rs 444.

 

Copper scrap heavy and brass sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 450 and Rs 356 from 448 and Rs 354, respectively.

Copper cables scrap, copper billets and brass utensils scrap edged up by a Re per kg each to Rs 456, Rs 484 and Rs 340 as against Rs 455, Rs 484 and Rs 340, respectively.
