Base metals rebound on fresh industrial demand

Most base metals, including nickel, lead, aluminium, brass and copper, rebounded at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists buying amid renewed demand from industrial users.

However, tin slipped followed reduced offtake from alloy industries.

Nickel climbed by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 715 from Monday's closing level of Rs 710.

Copper cables scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper utensil scrap and copper wire bar declined by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 377, Rs 372, Rs 348 and Rs 405 from Rs 374, Rs 369, Rs 345 and Rs 402, respectively.

Aluminium ingots, aluminium utensils scrap and brass utensil scrap moved up Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 133, Rs 112 and Rs 278 as compared to Rs 131, Rs 110 and Rs 276.
 

Copper armiture, copper sheet cutting, brass sheet cutting and lead edged-up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 365, Rs 361, Rs 283 and Rs 125, respectively.

However, tin dropped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,160 from Rs 1,165 earlier.
