Base metals rise on global cues

The industrial metal surged at the LME on hopes that the United States and China will roll out more stimulus measures.

Nickel and tin spurted by Rs 15 per kg each to Rs 1,085 and Rs 1,270 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,070 and Rs 1,255.

Zinc moved up by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 142 from Rs 137 and lead also gained by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 127 from Rs 123.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and aluminium utensils edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 490, Rs 483, Rs 518, Rs 471, Rs 322 and Rs 118, respectively.

 

Copper armature, copper utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting also inched up by Re 1 kg each to Rs 475, Rs 447 and Rs 331, respectively.
