Most of the base metals slipped further at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to sustained stockist selling amidst subdued demand from industrial users.
The industrial metal edged higher at the LME, ahead of key China trade data and jobs figures from the US, but was set to log its biggest weekly loss since mid September on worries of moderating growth in top consumer China.
Nickel declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 985 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 990.
Aluminium ingots moved-down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 147 from Rs 149.
Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper wire bar, copper sheet cutting and lead softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 509, Rs 488, Rs 537, Rs 484, and Rs 137, respectively.
However, Copper utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc prices inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 464, Rs 362 and Rs 174.
