Base metals trade mixed

The industrial metals gained slightly in line with a rebound of euro, but bearish prediction from US companies as well as Spain's downgrade by credit rating affected the sentiment.

Copper scrap heavy declined by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 480 from overnight close of Rs 483 and brass utensils scrap moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 323 from Rs 325.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, zinc and lead all softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 490, Rs 518, Rs 139 and Rs 123, respectively.

However, nickel and tin spurted by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,080 and Rs 1,300 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,075 and Rs 1,295.

 

Aluminium utensils scrap gained by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 117 from Rs 114 and Copper sheet cutting edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 468 from 466 yesterday.
