Cold weather conditions prevailed in most parts of Punjab and neighbouring Haryana where Bathinda was the coldest place at 4 degrees Celsius today.
Among other places in Punjab where night temperature dropped below normal included Faridkot, where the mercury settled at 4.8 degrees Celsius, a MeT Department official said here.
Adampur and Amritsar were equally cold recording respective minimum temperature of 5.1 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius.

Gurdaspur and Halwara also braved the chill recording respective lows of 6.9 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature at Ludhiana settled at 8.1 degrees Celsius while Patiala recorded a low of 9.2 degrees Celsius. Pathankot's minimum settled at 8.2 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, Hisar was the coldest place recording a low of 4.8 degrees Celsius today, down four notches against normal limit.
Narnaul, too, experienced a cold night at 5.5 degrees Celsius, down one notch against normal limit.
Among other places in Haryana where cold weather conditions prevailed included Sirsa, which recorded a low of 6 degrees Celsius, Rohtak was cold at 6.4 degrees Celsius while Karnal's low settled at 7 degrees Celsius.
Ambala, however, recorded a low of 10.9 degrees Celsius, which was three notches above normal limit.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, too recorded three degrees above normal minimum at 10 degrees Celsius.
