A movie version of 1970s TV show "Kung Fu" is underway.
"The Great Gatsby" helmer Baz Luhrmann is in negotiation to adapt the classic western martial arts show that originally starred David Carradine, reported Ace Showbiz.
No other details are available yet, but the current screenplay is written by "Black Swan" scribe John J McLaughlin.

The original series followed a Shaolin monk named Caine who came to the American Old West armed only with his spiritual training and his skill in martial arts in search of his half brother.
It ran on ABC for more than 60 episodes and gained cult following.
