Three persons, including a corprator, were killed and two others grievously injured in a collision between two cars near Srirangapatna on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway today, police said.
The three deceased from Bengaluru have been identified as Mahesh babu (40) a corporator representing Lakkasandra ward in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Balaji (38) and Muda Sheriff (45), police said.
Mahesh along with others was travelling in a car towards Bengaluru after visiting Nimishamba temple, when the other car coming in the opposite direction rammed into the road median and hit their vehicle.
The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Mysuru.
