BDFA clinch 3rd Bihar Cup title

Bangalore District Football Association (BDFA) emerged victorious in the 3rd All India Football Tournament for Bihar Cup defeating Army XI, Bangalore 3-0 in the final at the Moin-ul Haque Stadium here today.

Tournament's top scorer K Gopi struck the first goal for BDFA in the 4th minute when he placed the ball neatly from inside the penalty area to give his team 1-0 lead.

Striker Arun Pandey took a through pass from Vivekanand and dodged past two defenders before scoring the second goal for BDFA.

The eventual winners led 2-0 at half time.

Army XI tried hard in the second half to recover lost grounds, but its strikers Valal Teka, Ramu V and Subroto Sarkar failed to convert a number of opportunities coming their way.
 

For BDFA, Manivannan made it 3-0 in the dying movement through a solo effort.
