This was stated by Dhankar in a reply to question raised by MLA Anoop Dhanak during the ongoing Budget Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

He said that 126 posts of BDPOs are sanctioned, of which 35 are lying vacant.

Out of the vacant posts, 19 are to be filled by promotion, while 16 posts would be soon filled by recruitment process.

In reply to a question raised by MLA Udai Bhan, Dhankar informed the House that under Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana, over 3.81 lakh plots have been allocated in 4,859 villages in which 3.69 lakh plots have been registered.

He said that there are 1,544 such villages where Shamlat Deh land is not available.

In Hodel Assembly Constituency, 6,679 plots have been allocated, of which 6,150 people have got possession.

In reply to a question raised by MLA Rahish Khan, Dhankar said that the state government is making efforts to ensure that water reaches till the tail end.

Out of 1,333 tails in the state, water supply has been ensured in 998 tails and efforts are on to supply water in rest of the tails.

In a reply to question raised by MLA Ranbir Gangwa about any proposal under consideration of the government to save the crops of farmers from the stray animals, he said that in order to overcome the issue of stray cattle, the state government is planning to develop two sanctuaries.

He said that recently, the state government has framed Haryana Gau Sanrakshan Avm Gau Samwardhan law, which is being highly appreciated.

He said that there are 408 Gaushalas in the state, in which over three lakh stray cattle are kept.
