Army Chief General Dalbir Singh today asked cadets of National Defence Academy (NDA) to be prepared for any "eventuality" in order to preserve integrity and sovereignty of the country.
"Considering recent aggression by our neighbour we should be ready for any eventuality. Preparedness is the surest way of ensuring peace in the region and our strength should prove deterrent for anyone who dares to violate our sovereignty," he said after reviewing the passing out parade of the 127th course of the premiere academy at Khadakwasla near here.
General Singh said the future leaders of the three services should be ready to to meet all challenges including those posed by internal strife as well as natural calamities as the countrymen looked up to the army to tackle major problems facing the nation.
