A three-year-old male bear which fell into a 20-foot-deep well near here was rescued today, police said.
They said that the bear fell into the well of a tea estate in Kadaikamba near Kotagiri, about 25kms from here, last night and the villagers informed police and fire and rescue personnel today morning.
After two hours of operation, the fire department personnel brought up the animal with the help of a ladder and set it free into the jungles, police said.
