The boyfriend of Morgan Freeman's granddaughter has been arraigned from the hospital in her fatal stabbing on a New York City street.
Thirty-year-old Lamar Davenport was arrested Monday, a day after 33-year-old actress Edena (eh-DEE'-nah) Hines was found with stab wounds in front of her Manhattan apartment building.
Davenport was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. He was arraigned by video today and did not enter a plea.

A prosecutor says Hines was stabbed 15 times in her heart, lungs and liver. He says officers found Davenport standing over Hines' body, a knife sticking out of her chest.
Davenport's attorney didn't seek bail.
Hines was actually Freeman's step-granddaughter, but Freeman's publicist says the Oscar-winning actor thought of her as his granddaughter. Hines was the granddaughter of Freeman's first wife.
