The ambient beauty and cultural richness of Uttarakhand's Kumaon region was showcased here with the debut screening of a new travel show.
'Meri Kahaniya Meri Zubani: Travel with Aman Chotani Uttarakhand Chapter 1' by travel and lifestyle photographer Aman Chotani presents a cinematic narrative of the diverse flora and fauna in the region.
For the 30-minute film, Chotani photographed national parks, hill stations and forest reserves extensively, along with giving a deeper insight into Kumaon's gastronomical, musical and sartorial cultures.

"The state is also known for its food habits, folk and classical musical forms and attires. Considering all these attributes, we decided to come up with a travel show," Chotani said.
Produced by Jodha Films, the screening was first in the series of eight chapters. The event also saw a synopsis of the rest of the chapters that are to follow.
The show will be brought to people either on television or YouTube, organisers said.
The event also saw the launch of a coffee table book 'Hill Jatra', based on the folk festivals of the region. Minister and MP Ajay Tamta released the book.
"I appreciate Aman Chotani for the film and efficiently capturing major parts of Kumaon including Almora, Phithoragarh, Nainital and many more. I also congratulate him and Sanjay Joshi for the coffee table book," he said.
