Lt Governor Kiran Bedi has said that parents-mother and father- are the first teachers at home influencing the children in the way they lead their lives'.
In her message on the eve of the Teacher's Day, the former IPS officer said that "from teachers at home we go to teachers in educational institutions".
The Lt Governor said that both teachers at home and outside need to always remember the impact they exercise in human making.
She extended her heartiest greetings to all the teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day,.
"On the occasion of the Teacher's day we remember the former President Sarvapalli Dr Radhakrishnan and we thank all our teachers who give us their knowledge and wisdom to have our lives", she said.
