Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi offered prayers on Wednesday to Lord Athivaradhar at Kancheepuram in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
Officials attached to the Raj Nivas accompanied the former IPS officer during her visit, a press release here said.
The idol of Lord Athivararadar at the famous Sri Devarajaswamy temple is taken out from under the water once in 40 years.
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy had worshipped Lord Athivaradhar a few days ago.
