Lt Governor Kiran Bedi will lead an 'anti-dengue' rally tomorrow to generate awareness among the people on 'dos and don'ts' to prevent spread of dengue.

A release from Raj Nivas said tonight that students, representatives of traders associations, officials and others will be among the participants in the rally which would start at 6.15 a.m. from Raj Nivas (office of the Lt Governor).

Bedi had held joint meetings with officials of various departments concerned with eradication of mosquitoes and curbing spread of dengue.

She had visited patients in the government hospital to ascertain the scale of treatment to those affected by the vector borne disease recently.

She had insisted on a coordinated action plan to combat dengue in the Union Territory where she said the dreaded fever had registered a 700 per cent increase over the last one year.

Official sources said around 2000 persons suffering from fever were undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals here.
