Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm says being a part of the world's biggest girl group had once sent her into depression.
The 39-year-old singer said she also needed counselling and developed an eating disorder after being propelled to international stardom, reported Daily Star.
"Being a pop star is so tough. It really is. It's hard because you are achieving your dreams but getting incredibly tired in the head at the same time.

Mel C was catapulted to fame in 1996 along with Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham. The Spice Girls went on to sell more than 80 million records and became a pop phenomenon the world over.
"We didn't get offered counselling while we were in the group. I did get counselling a long time ago for depression and a few of us did afterwards," she added.
