Pakistan announced today that Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov will arrive in Islamabad on Monday on his maiden visit to strengthen bilateral ties.

Foreign Office (FO) said Kobyakov will lead a high powered delegation to Islamabad during the visit on November 9 to 11.

"This will be the first ever visit by a Belarus Prime Minister to Pakistan," it said.

During the visit, Kobyakov will hold official talks with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who will also host a lunch in honour of Kobyakov.

"Several important Agreements are also expected to be signed," it said.

A large businessmen delegation would precede the Prime Minister's entourage, for participating in the Third Pakistan-Belarus Business and Investment Forum, that will be held on November 10.

Pakistan and Belarus enjoy close and cordial relations. Sharif visited Belarus in August 2015.

Earlier, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko had paid a State visit to Pakistan in May this year.

Kobyakov's visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between the two countries.
