State-run BEML today reported over two-fold rise in net profit at Rs 168.85 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 on the back of higher income from operations.
Company's net profit in the year-ago period was Rs 63.89 crore.
Total income from operations for the January-March quarter increased to Rs 1,279.33 crore, registering an increase of 64.09 per cent, BEML said in a regulatory filing.

Total expenses during the quarter increased to Rs 1,129.78 crore, over Rs 744.25 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY'14.
The company further said its board of directors have recommended a dividend of Rs 10 per share for the year-ended March 31, 2015.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 1,036.45 a piece on BSE, up 6.05 per cent from the previous close.
