Actress Rosamund Pike thinks her 'Gone Girl' co-star Ben Affleck should pursue a career in comedy.

The 35-year-old actress, who stars alongside Affleck in the movie adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel 'Gone Girl', was so entertained by his sense of humour on set that she thinks he should pursue a career in comedy, reported Contactmusic.

"When we first were doing makeup tests I thought, 'This guy could be a standup comedian'. He has characters and impersonations ... Accents. He quickly crystallises you," she said.

The Blonde beauty added that it's clear Affleck, who has Violet, eight, Seraphina, four, and Samuel, two, with his wife Jennifer Garner, has grown up in a female dominated household as the pair often gossiped together in their trailer.

"He's very fun. He's obviously got a son now, but you can feel he is surrounded by girls in his house. We would be in the makeup trailer and we very quickly got to talking about very gossipy female things and he just gets right stuck in it.
