Actor Ben Mendelsohn has yet to officially sign on for a role in "Star Wars: Rogue One", despite long-running talks he is set to star.
If he does agree to star, he would feature alongside Felicity Jones in the spin-off directed by Gareth Edwards reported Deadline.
The film will act as a bridge between the two George Lucas trilogies, but the movie is yet to officially confirm Mendelsohn for the role.

When asked what the latest news was on his potential role, Mendelsohn said, "Well, I know that it's something that's being talked about. That's what I definitely know.
"I'm waiting for them to call me and say, 'Hey, here's the start date,' but you know, none of that's yet taken place, but you know I'd be very happy to do it, let's put it that way."
Shooting is due to begin in the UK at Pinewood Studios with a release date of December 16, 2016 set.
