West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that the state believes in unity in diversity and was against promoting violence.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Jagatdhatri Puja at Posta Bazaar in north Kolkata, she said, "Shedding blood is easy, but keeping peace is difficult."
Banerjee claimed that she wanted to work for the people of Bengal and was fulfilling their dreams one by one.
She is also scheduled to visit Chandannager on the occasion of Jagatdhatri puja and wished people on the occasion of Chat Puja tomorrow.
