West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh today welcomed the Supreme Court ruling refusing to stay the CBI probe into the Narada sting operation, and demanded resignation by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The Chief Minister was constantly trying to save her ministers and TMC leaders whose names figured in the Narada sting video and they were spending huge sums of public money to fight the cases, he told reporters here.
"We feel that not only the 'tainted ministers' but the Chief Minister herself should resign immediately as she has been trying to defend those who were allegedly caught on camera taking money," he said.

Ghosh said the BJP would take out a rally demanding resignation of the "tainted ministers" as well as the Chief Minister, and also meet the Governor to place the party's demand for dismissing the TMC government.
"The TMC government has suffered a loss of face in the Calcutta High Court and the Supreme Court, and it will have its impact in the state politics. The condition of the state government will worsen gradually and we have doubt whether this government will be able to complete its full term," he added.
